West Bromwich based 'Keltruck' has donated £7,000 to Acorns from their Charities Aid Foundation account.
The firm is the largest independently owned distributor for Scania trucks in Europe and regularly supports local causes throughout the year. Chris Kelly, chairman at Keltruck, said:
“The directors at Keltruck Scania can think of no better cause to support than Acorns Children’s Hospice. The work the hospice does is absolutely incredible.
"We are therefore delighted to be able to make a donation to such a worthwhile charity - being able to do so is a real driver for a company with a family ethos that is deeply engaged with the local community such as ours.”
Natalia Keene, Partnership Fundraising Manager at Acorns, added:
“We’d like to say a huge thank you to Keltruck Limited for their very generous donation. This fantastic sum will help pay for a day of care at one of our three hospices and it’s support like this that is crucial for us to be able to continue providing vital care and support to children and families across the West Midlands.
"We rely on the support of the community and local businesses for most of the funds we need every year, so on behalf of Acorns, I would like to say a huge thank you to everyone at Keltruck.”
