Stourbridge man pleads guilty to causing death by dangerous driving

A 31 year-old Stourbridge man has pleaded guilty at Wolverhampton Crown Court, to causing death by dangerous driving.

Omar Tariq of Denton Road, ploughed into 39 year-old Peter Price as he crossed Hagley Road West, Quinton, in November last year.

Tariq, who failed to stop, was not insured to drive the vehicle which was a courtesy car loaned to his girlfriend, also from Stourbridge.

An investigation revealed Mr Price would not have died if Tariq had been sticking to the speed limit. He’ll be sentenced in January.
