Cradley Heathens' fans have been given new hope speedway will make a return to Dudley borough after a 20 year absence.

Heathen’s chairman Nigel Pearson confirmed a stadium site has been identified and the club is waiting for the go ahead from Dudley Council.

However, he refused to divulge the site, but said it was in the Dudley/Cradley area. Mr Pearson said they were told they’d get an answer in July but are still waiting. 

The club currently ride at Monmore Green Stadium in Wolverhampton.
