National Express West Midlands has confirmed that the cost of adult single tickets will be £2.90 from Sunday 5th January 2025, with all of its other tickets and passes remaining the same.
The bus operator’s single tickets will be cheaper than the government’s revised single bus fare cap of £3, up from £2.
The government’s new scheme begins on 1st January 2025.

“From 5th January our single fares will be cheaper than the government’s £3 single fare cap and all of our other fares remain unchanged - providing a range of great value tickets and passes to suit our customers’ needs.”
Customers travelling on National Express West Midlands buses before 5th January 2025 will be charged £2 per single journey. From 5th January onwards, single journeys will be £2.90.
