Police charge four following serous Bilston disorder

Four people have been charged after police were called to Arbour Drive in Bilston on Friday morning following reports of armed disorder involving a number of people and bladed weapons.

Three people were taken to hospital with injuries which were not life-threatening.

Six people in connection with the incident and four men have now been charged with violent disorder, wounding and possession of an offensive weapon.

Hardeep Singh, aged 28 from Hounslow; Harpeet Singh, 25, from Leicester; Mukesh Kumar, 30, Wolverhampton and Lakwinder Singh, 26, from Smethwick have all been remanded to appear before Wolverhampton Magistrates Court on Monday.

Two other people have been bailed while enquiries continue.

West Midlands Police have stepped up patrols in the area, although they are continuing to treat this as an isolated incident.
