Pedestrian dies following Bromsgrove RTC

Despite the best efforts of ambulance staff, nothing could be done to save the life of a pedestrian injured in Bromsgrove last night.

West Midlands Ambulance Service was called by the police to reports of a collision involving a car and a pedestrian on the A448 in Bromsgrove shortly after 8.00pm on Wednesday evening.

Three ambulances, a paramedic officer and the Midlands Air Ambulance crew from Strensham, with a BASICS doctor on board, attended the scene in a rapid response car. A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said:

“Crews arrived to find a pedestrian, a man, who was in cardiac arrest following a collision with a car. Ambulance staff worked quickly as a team to deliver advanced life support.

"Sadly, despite their best efforts, nothing could be done to save the man and he was confirmed dead at the scene. The car driver, a woman, was uninjured and didn’t require hospital treatment.”
