New faces have joined Dudley Council’s cabinet team to drive forward change and innovation for the borough.
Councillor Pete Lowe, who remains as leader of Dudley Council, announced the new look team at a meeting of the full council last night.
It includes two new faces following the elections last month. Councillor John Martin is now cabinet member for law and governance, while Councillor Qadar Zada is the cabinet member for adult social care.
The cabinet in full is:
Councillor Pete Lowe, leader of the council and cabinet member for policy
Councillor Judy Foster, deputy leader of the council and cabinet member for community council
Councillor David Sparks, cabinet member for finance
Councillor Hilary Bills, cabinet member for environmental services
Councillor Khurshid Ahmed, cabinet member for planning and economic development
Councillor Gaye Partridge, cabinet member for housing
Councillor Qadar Zada, cabinet member for adult social care
Councillor Rachel Harris, cabinet member for health and wellbeing
Councillor Ian Cooper, cabinet member for children’s services
Councillor John Martin, cabinet member for law and governance
Cllr Lowe said:
“I am proud to announce the cabinet we have put forward who are more than up to the task for the challenging times and the opportunities ahead of us as a local authority.
“As a council we need to be innovative and responsive to change in the years ahead and I have every confidence we can do that.
“We have a good mixture of new faces to provide fresh impetus to such an important role, working alongside the equally as important experienced members of this cabinet.”
