Netball and rugby sevens balls unveiled for Commonwealth Games

With the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games just around the corner, Gilbert have unveiled the official match, replica, and supporter balls for both the Rugby Sevens and Netball events.

For the first time, Commonwealth Games fans will have the chance to own a piece of Birmingham 2022 with the launch of the official replica and supporter balls.

Gilbert have continued a partnership with the Commonwealth Games after being appointed the official ball supplier for Birmingham 2022, in addition to being appointed official licensee to produce a range of replica and support balls.

The official netballs and rugby balls take inspiration from Birmingham 2022 featuring a striking design with the official colours and the Commonwealth Games logos. Starting from £7.50, the range is perfect for practising skills at home and to remember the Games.

The ‘Quantum’ netball and ‘Quantum Sevens’ rugby match ball will be used by the Commonwealth’s best athletes as they battle for Commonwealth gold from 28th July in the West Midlands.

The ‘Quantum’ netball and ‘Quantum Sevens’ ball are the most technically advanced balls to be produced to date with tailor-made with features specifically designed for elite-level competition.

Excitement for Birmingham 2022 is continuing to build with the Rugby Sevens match schedule for the men’s and women’s events now confirmed, with New Zealand, the 2018 champions and England, the 2018 bronze medallists, drawn together in both the men’s and women’s competition. All group matches to be held on 29 and 30 July with semi-finals, play offs and medal matches to be played on Sunday 31 July.
