Mayor to host annual Civic Sunday event

Amblecote Holy Trinity Church will be hosting this year’s Mayoral Civic Sunday event.

The service at 1pm on Sunday 27 July will be led by Father Alan Williams. It’s an opportunity for people to come together and share in the traditional service.

Mayors from across the Black Country boroughs will also be in attendance to share in the occasion, along with other civic dignitaries. The Gentlemen Songsters will also be performing.

The Mayor of Dudley Councillor Pete Lee said: “I’m really looking forward to the traditional civic service. It’s one of my first civic events and a really good opportunity to meet people and share experiences.

“I hope people can join me on the day for what promises to be a warm and welcoming event.”

During the service there will be a collection for the Mayor’s five charities which are Alzheimer's Society, Disability in Action Dudley, Guide Dogs for the Blind, the Gurkha Welfare Trust, and the Leukaemia Unit Appeal Fund.

Light refreshments will be served following the service.
