Manhunt To Find Masked Robbers

The man was hit on the head with a gun during the incident and suffered cuts which required hospital treatment.

A manhunt has been launched to find five masked men who broke into a house and threatened a family of three with handguns and baseball bats.

The armed robbery took place at a property on St Kenelms Road, Romsley, shortly before 4.30pm on Friday, November 18, with one victim sent to hospital for cuts to his head.

After stealing jewellery and money from the safe, thieves locked the occupants in the cellar and escaped in a black Bentley Continental and a black Jaguar XKR – both stolen from the drive. A police spokesman said:

"Five men, wearing balaclavas and dark clothing, had forced their way into the property and threatened the three occupants - a man, a woman and a teenage boy - with what are believed to be two handguns and baseball bats.

"The man was hit on the head with a gun during the incident and suffered cuts which required hospital treatment. No-one else was injured but all three occupants were extremely shocked by the incident."

Police would like to hear from anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity in the area or has any information which would help them with their inquiries.

Anyone with information is asked to call West Mercia Police on 101 or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111 quoting incident 515S of November 18.
