A man has died following a road traffic collision in Stourbridge.
West Midlands Ambulance Service received multiple 999 calls reporting a car which had collided with a wall at the junction of Gibbs Road and Balds Lane, Lye at around 9:20am yesterday.
An ambulance, paramedic officer and a MERIT trauma team responded to the scene.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: “Crews arrived to find the driver of the car, a man, in a critical condition receiving CPR by police and bystanders.
“The team of WMAS medics quickly took over resuscitation but, despite the best efforts of everyone, nothing could be done to save the man and he was confirmed deceased a short time later.”
