A man has died after falling from a bridge onto the M5 in the Black Country.

The man suffered serious injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene, after falling off the motorway bridge between Junction 3 (Quinton) and Junction 2 (Oldbury), after the incident yesterday.

The motorway was closed in both directions for around an hour, with traffic backed up for around three miles. An air ambulance and two land ambulances attended the scene

West Midlands Police have said his death is not being treated as suspicious.
