Man charged over teen knife attack

West Midlands Police has charged a man over the stabbing of a teenager in Dudley town centre on Saturday.

The 17-year-old victim was attacked in High Street just before 5pm and taken to hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries.

Giovanni Campbell, aged 20, was arrested later on Saturday and charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, robbery and making threats with a bladed weapon in public.

He was remanded in custody and appeared at Dudley Magistrates court yesterday.
