Ian Austin is hosting an event to pay tribute to Stourbridge war hero Frank Foley.
The Dudley North MP is teaming up with the Holocaust Educational Trust to celebrate his life at a function in London later this month.
Major Foley, who was born in Somerset but retired to Stourbridge after World War Two, has been dubbed the 'British Schindler' for his work undercover in pre-war Berlin.
He worked as a British intelligence officer, posing as a Passport Control officer in the Germany city, providing thousands of Jews with the documents they needed to escape from Nazi Germany.
Major Foley was later given the status of "Righteous Amongst the Nations" by Israel in 1999, had a plaque bearing his name unveiled at the British embassy in Berlin in 2004, before being posthumously awarded "British Hero of the Holocaust" in 2010.
His story resulted in a book being published in 1999, entitled "Frank Foley: The Spy Who Saved Ten Thousand Jews".
Its author, Michael Smith, will also be speaking at the event, which is being held at the Attlee Suite in Portcullis House in London on Wednesday 20th April.
