Hundreds joined the Mayor of Dudley today to remember the people who gave their lives in armed conflict.
Councillor Pete Lee was among a number of civic dignitaries, veterans and members of the public who gathered at the Clock Tower as part of the annual Armistice Day service.
It marked 107 years since the laying down of weapons and the end of conflict in the First World War.
The service was conducted by Reverend James Treasure and speakers included the Mayor and Dudley Council chief executive Balvinder Heran.
Councillor Pete Lee, Mayor of Dudley, said: “It was a very special moment to remember all the brave men and women who gave so much in service of their country.
“To those who, to paraphrase the famous quote, gave their today for our tomorrow. I was pleased to see so many people there and it made for a very fitting tribute to the sacrifices they made for us.”
It followed a service of remembrance on Sunday in Coronation Gardens, Dudley, as part of the annual Remembrance Sunday service.
