Have your say for a safer borough

Dudley residents are being invited to attend a safe & sound board meeting and speak directly to the people who are accountable for community safety.

Dudley’s Community Safety Partnership, safe & sound - which incorporates the borough’s local police and crime board - will be holding a public board meeting on 28 January 2019 at Dudley’s Council House from 6pm.

People will have the opportunity to discuss community safety priorities in the first half of the meeting before being able to talk directly to the people who are accountable for community safety.

Senior officers and decision-makers from the police, council, fire service and other organisations will be on hand during the break to answer questions and talk to members of the public directly.

Those in attendance can then observe the board meeting and find out more about how the safe & sound partnership operates. Councillor Gaye Partridge, cabinet member for community safety, said:

"Each year we ask residents to tell us what their community safety priorities are and what the main issues are facing their communities.

"Hundreds of people have already completed our online survey and now people have the opportunity to come along to our public meeting to help us identify the main concerns and influence our priorities.

"We are committed to partnership working and listening to our residents, by doing this we can tackle crime together and make Dudley a safer borough.”

People are also being encouraged to complete a short online survey.
