Former Dudley Mayor raises almost £40k

The previous Mayor of Dudley, Councillor Hilary Bills has celebrated raising almost £40,000 for local charities during her Mayoral year.

The Halesowen councillor raised the money for her three chosen charities, Access in Dudley, Diabetes UK, and Friends of Dudley Performing Arts, during her time as Mayor of Dudley.

Councillor Bills said: “I am so delighted to have raised a total of £39,941 for these three worthy charities and it is wonderful to meet with the people who dedicate their lives to the charities.

“A huge thank you must go to all the kind-hearted businesses, organisations and individuals who supported our fundraising endeavours during my Mayoral year.

“Dudley borough is blessed with the most charitable and generous people, and serving the communities as Mayor continues to be the honour of my lifetime.”
