Fly-tipping vehicle dismantled and crushed

A flatbed truck used to illegally fly-tip large amounts of tyres and other waste in various locations in Willenhall has been dismantled and crushed.

The vehicle was seized by Walsall Council community protection officers, assisted by the police and bailiffs. Councillor Garry Perry, Deputy Leader for Resilient Communities said:

“The vast majority of us want to live in clean and safe neighbourhoods and other criminals who think it’s acceptable to indiscriminately dump waste may find their vehicle is seized and crushed too.

“To residents, I’d say please be careful who you pay to take waste away. If the person or company concerned is legitimate, they won’t mind at all being asked to show you their documentation.”
