Over 40 firefighters are in attendance with 11 appliances from 4 fire stations, including an aerial platform.

West Midlands Ambulance Service have also responded with 3 vehicles currently on site and more en route.

Smoke from the incident is visible as far away as Edgbaston and Walsall. West Midlands Fire Service say they've received over 70 calls to report the incident.

The blaze is centred in a recycling centre with flames having spread to a neighbouring building containing brand new Land Rovers. Local residents are being asked to stay inside and close windows and doors.

Pictures of the aftermath, from a variety of sources, show a decimated landscape with thousands of pounds of damage to vehicles in the compound behind the recycling centre.
