There's just a few days to go until the Mayor of Dudley is joined by some of the biggest names in Black Country entertainment at a special charity evening.

The Mayor of Dudley, Councillor Steve Waltho, is hosting a grand finale to his civic year on May 7th, to raise money for his chosen charities.

It will include laughs from award-winning Black Country comedy outfit 'The Fizzogs' as well as music from 'The Empty Can', the band behind the region’s official anthem.

The Mayoress, Jayne Waltho, will also be putting her husband and some special guests through their paces in a special ‘Mayor Does Strictly’. Singers Chris Passey and Richie Ray will also be performing.

Tickets are now on sale for the event, which also includes a three course buffet, with all profits going to the Mayor of Dudley’s charities. Cllr Waltho said:

“This is shaping up to be a fantastic evening and hopefully we can raise some much needed money for charity at the same time. We have some of the biggest names in entertainment in the Black Country which promises to be a lot of fun.”

People will also be able to help boost the total for the Mayor’s charities by playing table bingo and other games at the event, which starts at 7pm.

The Mayor’s five charities are The Hope Centre, The What? Centre, More Mascots Please, Leukaemia Unit Appeal Fund, Russells Hall and The West Midlands Lupus Group.
