An ex-soldier from Halesowen who sexually assaulted a teenage girl has been spared time behind bars.
Former army sergeant major Jonathan Sword, carried out a 'terrifying' sex attack on the 14 year-old before asking her not to tell her mother.
Sword, of Southwick Road, who has a previous conviction of making indecent images of children, denied the assault at his trial at Worcester Crown Court.
But he was found guilty and sentenced to 20 months in jail suspended for two years. He was further ordered to complete 150 hours of unpaid work.
