Dudley Residents Given Chance To Appear On The Small Screen

Dudley residents are being given the chance to star in a BBC film about comedy duo Laurel and Hardy.

Men and women of all ages can apply to appear as an extra in 'Stan & Ollie', which centres on the ageing double act's 1953 variety hall tour of Britain.

Shoot dates are being kept under wraps, however parts will be filmed in Dudley, where the comedy giants stayed at the Station Hotel while performing at the Hippodrome.

Comedian and actor, Steve Coogan, is lined up to play Stan Laurel, while Academy Award nominee, John C Reilly, will take on the role of Oliver Hardy for the film which is being directed by Jon Baird.

The casting call can be found at the Casting Collective Website.
