There will be free games, sports and craft activities galore for children to enjoy this summer as the popular Dudley Play Week returns.
Back for an eleventh year after being attended in 2018 by more than 6,000 people, the popular event organised by Dudley Council will run from Monday August 5 through to Friday August 9.
During the week there will be group games, sports, camp fires, a climbing wall, craft activities, a baby zone, assault courses, skittles, tug of war, bouncy castles, food court and stalls. Most of the activities on offer are free of charge, with some carrying a small charge.
Last year’s play week was extremely successful with thousands of youngsters attending over five days.
This year’s events will be at Huntingtree Park, Halesowen on Monday August 5; Silver Jubilee Park, Coseley on Tuesday August 6; Mary Stevens Park, Stourbridge on Wednesday August 7; Priory Park, Dudley, on Thursday August 8; and The Dell Stadium and Fens Pool in Pensnett on Friday August 9.
Activities take place daily from 12 to 4pm. Children attending must be registered on arrival at the registration tent and must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
This year will also see the return of the daily talent contest where youngsters can showcase their skills with a raft of fantastic prizes to be won. Budding performers should register at the radio stand each day.
