A Dudley man who threw his ex-partner out of a second floor window and attacked police officers with a knife, has been jailed for 24 years.
Marlon Bills attacked the 43-year-old woman at his Himley Road flat in December last year, and after threatening her with a knife, pushed her through the bathroom window.
As she clung to the windowsill, he peeled her fingers from it until she dropped 16 feet to the floor. She then dragged herself to the edge of the property to call for help.
Bills was arrested following a violent struggle with officers. The 44 year-old was found guilty of attempted murder at Birmingham Crown Court.
