Dudley Council has organised a programme of events as part of Learning Disability Week.
The national week is themed around art and creativity this year, with an art competition taking place and lots of useful resources and activity packs being made available online to inspire people.
Dudley council’s events will run from 21 June and gives people the opportunity to learn more about the council’s services and support networks available.
Topics include assistive technology, Dudley’s disability service, Dudley Voices for Choice and Makaton sign language. Councillor Nicolas Barlow, cabinet member for health and adult social care, said:
"Like many people, those who have a learning disability can find art and crafts to be a great way to express themselves and I’m pleased Learning Disability Week is highlighting the many benefits.
"At Dudley Council, we are offering a series of online events that help people learn more about some of the services and networks available in Dudley borough."
