A two-year calendar featuring paintings and photographs of Dudley’s most striking sights has gone on sale.
Proceeds from the 2018/19 calendar, entitled 'Mayoral Reflections: Photographs and paintings of Dudley and the surrounding area', will go to the Mayor of Dudley’s chosen charities; Dudley Mind, Dudley Alzheimer’s Society and the Black Country branch of the YMCA.
It has been put together by mayoral ambassador Sue Randle and features paintings from Black Country artist Graham Colbourne and photographs from students at Dudley College.
The calendar includes striking images and shots, including a close-up of a tiger at Dudley Zoo. The Black Country Living Museum, Priory Ruins, Dudley Castle, Himley Hall and Dudley town centre. Councillor Dave Tyler, the Mayor of Dudley, said:
“Graham is a fantastic artist and the pictures show we have some really talented young photographers over at the college. My ambassador Sue has done a great job pulling it all together and I’m absolutely delighted with the finished calendar.
"There are some amazing pictures and photographs in there of Dudley and the surrounding areas. It would be a perfect Christmas present and has the added bonus of going towards three very worthy causes, so we would urge people to snap one up and hang it on their wall with pride.”
The calendar is now available to buy for £10. To find out more, or to order a copy, call Sue Randle by phone on 07412531924 or by email.
