Call for safety action at Stourbridge road junction

Residents have called for action to improve safety at a road junction in Stourbridge after a car crashed into a wall last week.

The vehicle swerved to avoid another car on Friday morning at the junction of Heath Farm Road and Whittington Road near to Gig Mill Primary School.

Nobody was hurt in the accident, which resulted in a Mercedes smashing through the wall and ending up blocking one homeowner’s driveway.

A local resident said similar incidents would not happen if more was done to make the junction safe, adding it was only a matter of time before there was a fatality there.
