Dudley Council’s cabinet member for public realm has praised the local authority’s road safety team after completing a led cycle today.
The event was one of several to have taken place over the summer, with the last ride set to take place on Wednesday.
Guided by cycle instructors, who are DBS checked, the rides are suitable for people of all abilities and are designed to be accessible, fun and family friendly. Dr Bike also attends the events, offering people a free bike check and repair work. Councillor Shaz Saleem, cabinet member for public realm said:
"I had such great time today and I would like to thank everyone involved in the led rides. Keeping in mind I haven’t been on a bike since I was seven, the team were excellent and thanks to their support I had the confidence to ride 10 miles.
"These events are ideal for those new to this experience, families and those who would prefer to ride in small groups. I am sure they will continue to attract new riders."
The final led ride for this year will meet at Dudley Canal Trust at 10am. Booking is essential by calling 01384 815433 or by email.
