Brierley Hill Man 'Tried To Abduct Schoolgirls' Court Hears

A court’s heard how a Brierley Hill road worker tried to abduct four schoolgirls in the Dudley area because he wanted to detain them for sex.

The prosecution at Wolverhampton Crown Court alleged that 45 year-old Shawn Jones tried to get the girls, aged 11, 13 or 14, into his car after complimenting them on their looks.

The incidents are alleged to have taken place in the Kates Hill and Cradley areas, and also at Merry Hill Shopping centre.

Jones, of Norwood Road, Brockmoor has pleaded not guilty to four charges of attempted child abduction and four of attempting to abduct a child with intent to commit a sexual offence. His trial continues.
