Board games and stories at Halesowen Library

Halesowen Library is starting a new board game club.

Taking place from 24 February on Mondays 11am to 1pm, there are plenty of games available – including chess, Monopoly, Scrabble, Lost Lands and Cluedo.

“This is a great opportunity for anyone who maybe feels a bit lonely to have fun and make new friends,” said Dudley Libraries Partnership Manager Stephanie Rhoden.

Halesowen is also holding a ‘Tales After Dark’ event on Thursday 20 March at 6.30pm. Two unsettling stories from the shelves of the Weeping Bank Library will be read – a ‘must’ for those who like to be scared and unsuitable for under 15s.

Operating under the Better brand, GLL is the not-for-profit social enterprise that runs Dudley’s libraries on behalf of the council.

For more information about either event, call Halesowen Library on 01384 812980.
