Black Country roofing firm makes large donation to elderly residents to fund Christmas

The directors of T Newman Ltd made a £2,000 donation to fund Christmas meals at several residential locations across the West Midlands that cater for elderly residents and have.

The company directors wanted to bring some festive cheer to residents across four locations in the West Midlands - MacGregor Tithe, Robertson Knoll, Colbourne Court and Sandham Grange – managed by the Platform Housing Group.

The firm visited residents this week to present them with the donations for their Christmas get togethers. Director of New Customers and Specialist Housing for the Platform Housing Group, Sarah Sutton said:

“This very generous donation will really help our customers in these schemes and lift their spirits; they are looking forward to their Christmas parties. It is great to work with contractors that recognise the sense of neighbourly support when visiting our schemes and want to help.”

Managing Director of T Newman Ltd, Trevor Newman added: “There is a real sense of neighbourly support at these independent living sites, and we believe it is making a real difference to residents’ lives.

"Having spoken with residents and care staff we know how difficult the last few years have been as a result of the pandemic and so we wanted to reach out and give them a boost for Christmas.”
