Arrest made after Upper Gornal stabbing

Police in Dudley have arrested a man following a knife attack in Upper Gornal last night.

A spokesperson for the force said:

"We received a 999 call at 11:15pm, with reports of an incident in Jews Lane. It’s understood an offender stabbed a man in the street before attacking a second man inside a property.

"He fled the scene but we arrested a suspect in Great Barr just before 7am this morning on suspicion of attempted murder. He remains in police custody.

"One man has suffered injuries to his hands, neck and shoulder; the second victim suffered knife wounds to his chest and arm. The injures are not life threatening.

"It’s understood the offender is known to the victims and that the incident is domestic related."
