Dudley MBC are looking to appoint two volunteer Lay Members to Dudley Children and Adult Boards.
Both Dudley Children and Adult Board are responsible for overseeing how agencies work together to keep Dudley’s children, young people and adults safe. As part of their commitment to engaging with local communities Dudley wish to appoint 2 volunteer Lay Members, for a period of three years. Two Lay Members will serve on the the Children Board and two will serve the Adult Board. Applicants should live in Dudley.
The role will be to bring a more ‘grass roots’ perspective to safeguarding; to think as a member of the public; to play a part in the oversight and scrutiny of decisions and information considered by the Boards.
Board members main duties will be to attend the Board meetings and other sub-groups as appropriate and to support the Boards to engage with local communities.
