An appeal for witnesses to an incident which saw a man suffer head and back injuries in an attack in Oldbury has been launched.

The incident took place in Causeway Green Road in Oldbury shortly before 4pm on Wednesday.

West Midlands Police said a man in his 30s was found with head and back injuries which were not life-threatening.

A 24-man was detained on suspicion of wounding in connection with the incident but has since been released and the force has asked for anyone with any information to get in touch.
