A 9th Century story that tells of the naïve, innocent Parsifal, the ‘young fool’, kept isolated in the woods by his mother to protect him from the world. Meeting a group of Knights one day, he sets off on a journey of discovery in search of becoming a Knight of King Arthurs Round Table and ultimately the Holy Grail.

Parsifal’s journey challenges him with unexpected lessons, relationships and spiritual wisdom gradually learnt through the qualities of empathy, compassion and ultimately true and selfless love .A story that encourages each one of us to ask ourselves and consider in others, as in the case of the ailing King – ‘What ails thee?’
Peter Oswald is an English poet and playwright. He was Writer in Residence at Shakespeare’s Globe and a founder member of the Columbina Theatre Company, which creates new verse drama with commedia roots. He has written three verse plays for the Ruskin Mill Educational Trust and is currently Associate Writer at the Marylebone Theatre, in London.
