Outside The Box

This is an inaugural event to hopefully foster a local community of musicians, poets, performance artists and filmmakers who may think a little 'outside the box' of mainstream popularity and provide a space for them to perform and demonstrate their art.
Expect music performed by musicians at the top of their game, both composed, improvised, and a mixture of the two.
This first event is on Thursday, 19th February, starting at 8 pm and finishing at 10 pm.
The musicians playing on this occasion are; Steve Tromans - Keyboard/Computer, Trevor Lines - Bass, Bruce Coates - Saxes, Mike Bethel - Acoustic Guitar, Becky Lockett - Trombone /Paraphenalia, and Dave Nock - Electric Guitar/FX/Percussion.
The evening will also feature the intelligent words of poets Daniel S Martin, and Glynn Phillips.
The evening will be MC'd by local writer Richard Bruce Clay.
It will be both fascinating and entertaining.
The hope is that these events will be recorded and sections will be played on Black Country Xtra on my Outside The Box show.
The admission fee is to cover room hire and possibly help pay travel expenses for some artists.
