A Stourbridge collective that have organised a pop up experimental creative community space in Stourbridge this summer- The Hive

The Hive open tomorrow Monday 22nd July and will be open every Monday and Tuesday throughout the school holidays 9-4.30pm.

Our vision is to create a space that brings people together, welcoming all members of the community to engage and connect – in a space that is alive and active with creative possibilities. Inviting people into a homely space, we are offering opportunities that are interesting, varied and offer something bigger to our community.

There will be tea and coffee, craft, bread making, lunch sharing, drawing, dramas groups, dance, make and mend groups, African drumming, mindfulness sessions as much more.

This space is open to all to share our ideas and part of the reason we set it up is the engage with the artistic community of Stourbridge and beyond. The Hive is providing a space to share practices, food and hopefully building a long term plan of what is missing in Stourbridge and how we can fill it.

Everything is free of charge, all volunteers are offering their time for the community. We are seeking donations of time- volunteering in the space, Money towards craft supplies and food and any food or cake donations to keep us going along the way.

We have been supported in kind by Camphill village trust to take over the old cockleshell cafe on Worcester street, other donations have been warmly received from Sainsbury's, WH Smith, Websters of Wollaston and many locals in the area.
