More Information (Black Country Radio is not responsible for external websites)

'Spinster of this Parish' is a beautiful show, full of local history, and brimful of folk songs from the region performed by Stourbridge's own Stream of Sound.

The show follows the life of Ethel Minty and her family from the Victorian era right through until the 1980s. Through them we meet the likes of nailmakers, carpet weavers, chain makers and night soil men.

Sell out performances have taken place at Sidmouth Folk Festival, Midlands Arts Centre, and The Exchange (Birmingham). Our final show is due to take place at 6pm (duration 100 minutes including interval) on Saturday 3rd June at Stourbridge Town Hall.

Don't miss your chance to see this charming show and hear the stunning harmonies of Stream of Sound as they share stories about the tales and trades of the region.
