Police appeal for help to trace Dudley jewellery theives

Police are appealing for help to trace two women after an 83-year-old woman had jewellery, including her wedding ring, stolen after she was approached in Dudley.

Two women started chatting to her in Birdcage Walk just after midday, saying they recognised her - with one of them hugging her and the second holding her hand.

But in the process they took her wedding ring and other jewellery, replacing them with cheap fakes so their elderly victim did not notice until later on.

If you know who they are, you can contact officers via Live Chat at west-midlands.police.uk, or call 101 anytime.
